I am deeply concerned about HB 1598-FN and the expedited eviction process it creates. This bill allows tenants to be removed from their homes in as little as a week, with minimal opportunity to respond or raise defenses. It eliminates protections that families, seniors, and people facing temporary hardship currently rely on, and it puts children, low-income families, and vulnerable neighbors at immediate risk of homelessness.
