I oppose HB 1598-FN because it creates a fast eviction process that gives families, seniors, and vulnerable tenants almost no time to respond or defend themselves. Tenants could be out of their homes in as little as a week, with children and families left without stability or safety. Whatever you do to the least of these, you do to all of us. Housing is a basic human need, and laws should protect families in crisis, not strip them of their rights and their homes. This bill puts speed and convenience for landlords ahead of human dignity and community stability, and that is the wrong direction for New Hampshire.
