I think our elected officials should represent the people who put them in office. Pretty simple concept. I have personally watched as committee members have completely ignored public votes in support of bills. 650 to 4 is not an insignificant voice in favor of a bill. What happened to of the people, and for the people? And you wonder why citizens have so little faith in or respect for their law makers. I do believe in our government but am so disappointed with the lack of respect for public input and feedback. When educated citizens speak out, you need to listen. Leave your personal agendas at home.
