Neither my town clerk, the state, nor any cop needs to look at my bank account or require me to schlep more paperwork around just because. Not having auto insurance is silly. The state requiring it is even more silly as we know the same people who never get insurance-will never get insurance. This is why uninsured motorist coverage exists.
