This cap would strip approximately $10.2 million annually from Manchester public schools. I know some argue these caps are needed to control property taxes, but taking funding away does not negate the need in our school systems. If budgets are slashed, local property taxes in Manchester would actually increase to fill the gap the State left behind. Our children deserve better. We as taxpayers deserve better. New Hampshire deserves better.
