If a sick or injured child/person needs medical care it is cruel and unreasonable to expect a parent/person to book that appointment 2 weeks out (or more if the provider has a long wait but can get them in on a cancellation list). There are many times where my own specialists can see me this week OR in 8 months with nothing in between. If the government wants more babies y’all have to allow parents to be able to take care of them, and themselves, AND pay their bills. If people lose their jobs because of necessary medical appointments they will be forced to go on disability, and they will be more likely to qualify if they’re losing jobs because of appointments they need to attend in order to be well enough to keep going to work.
