Lake and rivers are a state resource. They benefit all of the State of New Hampshire's citizens through increased recreation therefore increased revenues through our restaurants, hotels/motels, access fees and much more. Having those who own waterfront shoulder the burden for maintaining the dams is unfair to those landowners. It also creates an unbalanced tax even though we all benefit from keeping our dams in good working condition.
