I’m writing to urge you to oppose HB1002. I appreciate the tax break my family receives from this exemption, and I imagine other families do as well. Many communities rely on it to support local clean energy, household affordability, and local control. Renewable energy is the way of the future and currently is the proper choice economically. Repealing the solar property tax exemption would discourage solar investment and take decision-making power away from towns and cities. Please reject HB1002 and preserve local choice.
