As a mason, I am in favor of this Bill... Tax exemption for the simple reason this Fraternal organization with this state has had a long standing commitment to the forging of this state, as well as the forging of the country. Many brethren have, in the past, and continue to do so in this country, been active contributors to charitable and humanitarian endeavors, all the while continuing and supporting the making of better citizens in our respective communities. It seems that taxing our fraternal organizations of their property is counter-productive to the many contributions this state receives. All the while we do not seek profit for ourselves or our fraternity. Taxes will take away from those community contributions. I am in favor of making Masonic property tax exempt so our efforts continue to do the good works.
