I support the bill to abate taxes for Masonic lodges because these organizations provide substantial, measurable value to our communities. Masonic lodges contribute thousands of volunteer hours each year and collectively donate significant financial resources to local charities, scholarships, youth programs, veterans’ initiatives, and community support services. Their members freely give their time, skills, and personal funds to meet local needs, often filling gaps where public resources are limited. Granting tax abatement recognizes the public benefit these lodges provide and helps ensure they can continue their long-standing mission of service, philanthropy, and community engagement.
