I strongly support HB 1609. It is my belief that the arrest and/or detention of any person without due process is illegal. Therefore, in my opinion, no state, county or municipal funds should be used to fund building or renovating facilities to be used as ice detention centers as it facilitates the government in its pursuit of this illegal and unconstitutional activity.
