Having worked in education for 20 years and seeing the detriment to our youth when recess is not added to a school day schedule. It is very important that our youth interact with their peers in a recess driven environment, as studies have shown a greater ability for children to be able to solve conflicts on their own, with indirect supervision. Allowing outside play is not a privilege it is a necessity for normal human growth and development.
