I am strongly against this death penalty bill. History has shown us that this type of capital punishment does not reduce violence in a society. It only demonstrates a low regard for human life and may promote violence. It has been documented many times that mistakes have been made and there is no un-doing a wrongful execution. Finally, this is an inhumane action of society and nearly all developed countries had ended the death penalty. Why must New Hampshire wish to demonstrate a lower standard of ethics and regard for human life? This opens a new sad chapter on the history of New Hampshire.
