Dear Committee Members, I strongly support HB 1584, which mandates that the Department of Health and Human Services include the statement “Medical and religious exemptions are available under New Hampshire law” prominently in all vaccination-related communications and notices. This bill enforces basic transparency. Residents have a legal right to medical and religious exemptions—NH law already recognizes them. Failing to disclose this information upfront misleads the public and erodes trust in government health messaging. Clear notice respects individual autonomy, informed consent, and existing freedoms without undermining vaccination efforts. HB 1584 does not oppose vaccines; it demands honest, complete information from a state agency. Passing it upholds integrity in public policy and reinforces that New Hampshire prioritizes personal rights alongside public health. I urge a DO PASS recommendation on HB 1584. Thank you.
