Hi Friends, I am strongly opposed to legislation that would compromise the ability of my family, and other families in my situation, to offer our children the education we want them to have. We are not religiously motivated, we are not anti-public school, in fact, most private schools do not match our interests very well either. However, there are a few private schools in New Hampshire that we have confidence in and over these years we have become part of their communities. The EFA and ETC together make it possible for us to send our children there. As a family of 5, we live on less than 80K per year, and have never made more than that. We are making huge sacrifices to send our children to the schools we choose - simple living, lots of debt, no savings, no retirement. Believe me, the ETC and EFA DO NOT cover the full cost of tuition. Yet they HELP TREMENDOUSLY. There is no way we can send our children to the schools we trust if we don't have the support offered by both the EFA AND ETC. If you need to change something about the current legislation governing the ETC and EFA, then consider capping the income limits again... But please remember that families like mine really need this support. Thank you for your consideration.
