I strongly urge you to vote NO on HB1740. It not only doesn't protect victims of domestic violence, but puts them in greater danger by cutting funding for crisis centers and making it even harder to second a protective order. It also threatens to create more court delays and increased costs, both heedless barriers for victims. Weakening victim privacy, an absolute necessity when someone is violently pursuing you, this bill also weakens protections when danger is at its highest.
