Reinstating the death penalty in NH makes no sense. There is no evidence that it is an effective way to prevent violence - NH's homicide rate has not risen since it was repealed. If it is not a way to stop violent crime, then it is just an expensive and cruel way to exact retribution. I have no interest in the government being in the business of revenge killing.
