To whom it may concern: I am a parent of two children enrolled in private school, and would respectfully ask that you oppose HB1803. I am a strong supporter of school choice, and have seen my children thrive in their school environment, both academically and socially. Their school aligns with our religious beliefs and family values, and is preparing them to engage with the world around them as well-educated, high-performing, and well-rounded individuals with an informed worldview. However, this school environment would not be possible for my children without having received both the EFA and ETC assistance. I know I speak for may families, one- and two-income households alike, who feel the same. Without the opportunity to qualify and receive both benefits, our children would be subjected to a learning environment not well-suited for their needs and that does not reflect the values of our home. Our right to school choice would be eliminated. Please oppose HB1803 so that we can continue to choose the best school for our children.
