Letter i?n Support of HB 1719 Dear Members of the New Hampshire Legislature, I am writing to express my support for HB 1719, which would end the hepatitis B vaccine mandate for school and daycare attendance. With the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) withdrawing its recommendation for this vaccine requirement, it is necessary for New Hampshire to update its public health policies accordingly. HB 1719 reflects sound, evidence-based policymaking. When federal health authorities revise their recommendations, state requirements should adapt to maintain consistency and credibility. This bill ensures that New Hampshire’s health regulations remain accurate, relevant, and grounded in the latest scientific and medical consensus. Additionally, HB 1719 upholds parental rights, religious freedom, and medical discretion by allowing families, in consultation with their healthcare providers, to make decisions that best reflect their children’s individual health needs and beliefs. Removing outdated mandates also strengthens public trust in health policy by showing that the state responds thoughtfully to evolving data, expert guidance, and diverse religious convictions. I strongly urge you to support HB 1719 and help keep New Hampshire’s health policies current, transparent, and respectful of medical judgment, religious beliefs, and personal choice. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration and continued service to our state. Sincerely, Pamela Harders Manchester, New Hampshire
