To the House Education Funding Committee, I wanted to briefly convey the tremendous financial impact it has had on me being able to have access to both the Education Freedom Account and the Education Tax Credit. As a single parent working as a military member, being able to have the opportunity to send both of my children to a private educational institution would not have been possible without the support from both of these programs. Without having access to both programs, I would have to account for more than a third of what the programs help cover when it comes to tuition and other educational expenses. My two children are thriving and flourishing in their school, and I would hope that you would consider allowing parents and guardians to have access to both the EFA and ETC in the same program year.
