One of the State's responsibilities with regard to Public Health is to keep its constituents informed about issues such as vaccination. As a Registered Nurse, I oppose this bill in that it would eliminate funding for health promotion initiatives, in particular the importance of vaccination in the prevention of illness. It is far less costly overall to prevent than to treat.
