Deborah Bruss

Dear Committee Members, I am against the death penalty as a punishment for any offences, even those against minors, no matter how heinous. Locking someone up keeps the public safe, costs much less than instituting the death penalty, and can't be undone if later evidence proves innocence. Also, prosecuting someone under the death penalty is very costly to the state and has not been shown to reduce violent crimes. Thank you, Deborah Bruss
