I have concerns regarding HB 1367. While I agree that the malicious use of personal information to harass, threaten, or endanger others should be punishable, any law addressing “doxing” must be narrowly and precisely defined. Overly broad language risks suppressing lawful speech, journalism, whistleblowing, and public-interest disclosure. If enacted, this legislation must include strict intent requirements, clear harm thresholds, and strong protections for constitutionally protected expression.
