Look around. Every year there are less and less birds, bees, insects, and aquatic animals. I've lived in Milford, NH for nearly 17 years and I have absolutely noticed the decline of these creatures even in my small part of the world. I used to regularly see turtles and toads walking on the nearby rail trail. Those sightings are now far and few between. Rarely do I see monarchs or other beautiful butterflies around my home. Bees are in decline as well, and a noticeable decline in birds everywhere cannot be denied. Neonicotinoids are a major culprit contributing to this loss of life and it is absolutely tragic. It is devastating for our entire ecosystem and as stewards of this state we have an obligation not only to our residents but to the environment in which we live to preserve and protect all of these natural wonders. Our relationship with the ecosystem around us is symbiotic and needs to be preserved for the welfare of all. I implore you to please restrict the use of neonicotinoid pesticides so that these creatures may flourish once again.
