This is an incredibly scary and horrifying bill, especially as the State continues to cut necessary budget to support students and staff on campuses, adding this strain will only push people away to other states for safety. Allowing ease of access to guns on campus will only allow students to hurt themselves and others. This puts undue stress on student peers, staff, faculty, and our Police Officers. I have responded to student mental health emergencies, have seen students fight with one another or engage in behaviors under the influence of alcohol or under stress, and this only allows access to harm them or others. At a pivotal and transformative time of their life, full of stress and change, adding the fear of being on campus knowing others can take a gun out at any time, is a horrific failing of Granite State to the people of this state if allowed to pass.
