As a homeowner with gardens in NH, I have observed the declining numbers within our numerous pollinator species over the past 1.5 decades. Also, from my childhood and youth on a large farm in the Midwest many decades ago, I am quite familiar with the use of pesitcides and efforts to use alternative methods. Neonicotindoids unfortunately have many "off-target" and persistence toxicity impacts, particularly on our essential pollinators like native bees, ants and moths, and I strongly support restrictions on the use of these pesticides. It is critical that we maintain the functioning pollinators for their role in the overall environment [which draws many tourists to this state], as well as for their contribution to agricultural production across a variety of crops and animals. Thank you.
