Dear Members of the Committee, My name is Elliot Boutin, and I am a student at the University of New Hampshire. I support HB 1793, the Protecting College Students Act. I believe every person should have the right to protect their own life. That right should not stop when we go to college. Students, staff, and visitors who follow the law should be allowed to protect themselves, just like anywhere else in New Hampshire. This bill helps keep people safe. It gives peaceful, responsible people the choice to carry a self-defense tool if they want to. That can bring peace of mind, especially when walking alone at night or living far from home. This is about freedom, safety, and the right to take care of yourself. That’s what New Hampshire stands for. I’m proud to support this bill. Thank you for reading my message.
