There are safe alternatives to this approach. These chemicals end up in the food chain and impact all types of wildlife as well as our own domestic pets. Too many neighbored have lost their dogs and cats after eating poisoned rodents. Not to mention our birds of prey. Please do the right thing and keep these dangerous substances out of our environment.
