I do think that the safety of the public is important in permitting people to carry a firearm. We have to go through procedures to get a drivers license and we have to provide information and references to get a job. When it comes to a license to carry a lethal weapon, i think it is reasonable to have more information, especially when it comes to the mental status or psychological disorders. The safety of the Public trumps the right of the individual to carry a weapon. We all know that the use of weapons has resulted in many more deaths than prevention of deaths. Thank you for considering my view on this bill.
