This bill places new financial and administrative burdens on everyday homeowners like myself who rely on occasional rental income to make ends meet. There is no evidence that this broad expansion is necessary, and it threatens both small property owners and New Hampshire’s tourism economy. Property taxes have already increased in the area for all, worsening financial strain. Furthermore, Meals and Rooms Taxes already increase the cost of travel and visiting NH, which would discourage visitors and hurt local businesses in the state.
