I oppose this bill on the basis of common sense. Allowing anyone on a campus or in a school to carry a gun to these places does not make us safer, especially in the hands of young people whose cognitive processing is still developing. In a country where there are more guns owned per capita than many countries combined, where shoot first, ask questions later is the norm, free reign on being able to carry a gun anywhere is a threat to public safety and greatly impedes police officers just trying to do their job.
