As a person of faith, I do not want the State to take a life in my name. Please do not reinstate a death penalty! It is expensive: life without parole costs less while keeping the public safe. It avoids killing an innocent person (mistakes do happen!!) The death penalty denies the possibility of repentance, redemption, and transformation. It is God's role to take a life, not ours. Our State can live without this bill.
