My wife and I support HB 1086 prohibiting the sale of some agricultural seeds treated with neonicotinoid insecticides. We are master gardeners. Through experience and education we have learned about the importance and delicate balance of plants and animals in our environment. We also enjoy corn, wheat and soybeans and we prioritize produce from local farms. We have learned of the long lasting negative impact of neonicotinoids including chronic harm and death to pollinators, contamination of soil and water, death of aquatic insects which are a critical source of food for fish and direct and indirect harm to birds. We also learned about alternatives to nionicotinoids such as biological pesticides, integrated pest management and alternative synthetic insecticides. Please support this bill helping to preserve the ecosystem that keeps New Hampshire natural and pristine.
