Karen Bemis

My name is Karen Bemis and I live and vote in Bristol, and recreate in beautiful Newfound Lake. I SUPPORT this bill to restrict the use of neonicotinoid pesticides. Neonicotinoids can leach into soil and groundwater which disrupts aquatic food webs. This harms zooplankton and insects, creating conditions that are ripe for harmful cyanobacteria blooms. We must limit their use to protect the ecosystems of our lakes, water quality, and recreation.
