I am a member of New Hampshire’s farming and beekeeping community and I urge you to support HB 1086 and HB 1431 to restrict neonicotinoid pesticides. These chemicals persist in soil and water, harming pollinators, beneficial insects, and aquatic life that farms depend on. They affect organic farmers because of drift, water contamination, killing pollinators. Our growing is hurt by unintended contamination... and these bills are a step towards repair. Organic and no spray farmers, like myself, have shown that effective pest management is possible without systemic pesticides that create long-term environmental damage. These bills offer reasonable, science-based protections that support healthy farms, fair competition, and resilient agriculture in New Hampshire. Thank you for your consideration and for supporting farmers and land stewardship in our state.
