Shutting down public education about the availability, safety, and value (both to individuals and to the public at large) of vaccination is a horrific idea. As an educator, I work very hard to make sure all of my biology students understand how vaccines work, how they protect individuals, and how they protect everyone in the population and slow the evolution of infectious diseases. I can come explain it to you, if you want...but meanwhile, please don't muzzle the state agencies who are supposed to be sharing this critical, life-saving information with the wider public.
