I am a mother, a voter, and a nurse, and I strongly oppose this bill. A fetus is a developmental phase of pregnancy; it has an actual medical definition. You can't just change the definition to something you want it to be. A fertilized egg is not a fetus. A 2 day old zygote is not a fetus. A 2 week old embryo is not a fetus. Beyond this obvious point, the only reason for a bill like this is to once again try to regulate women's bodies and interfere with their health care choices. The majority of NH residents and voters believe a woman should have the right to choose her own health care options with her doctor. Leave medicine - and medical definitions - to medical professionals. This bill is terrible on all levels. Please oppose it.
