Cyanobacteria is a major problem in NH lakes. The current Cyanobacteria Mitigation Loan & Grant Fund (already quite modest) is essentially depleted. This bill will raise the mooring fees, and 1/2 of the funds raised will be put into this Cyanobacteria Fund. We MUST get a handle on cyanobacteria before it completely overtakes are lakes all spring, summer and fall long. I spend much time on Squam Lake in Holderness, and this past summer witnessed first hand the devastating effects of a cyanobacteria outbreak. We could not let our grandchildren or pets go into the water for many days. With respect, I ask that you support this bill for the health of our lakes.
