I urge an OTP recommendation on HB 1365 and thank the sponsors for bringing it forward. I've had a New Hampshire Pistol and Revolver License, whether non resident or resident, for dozens of years. Who I am employed by or who I list as references has no bearing on the approval of the license in New Hampshire as we are a shall issue state. To make the current requirement more amusing, I list my Dad, my Mom, and my Sister as references. To expand upon that, as a shall issue state, we "shall sign and issue" the license "unless the applicant is prohibited by New Hampshire or federal statute from possessing a firearm". Quotes are from RSA 159:6 as it currently stands. This means it is a wholly individual requirement and who I know or who I work for has no bearing on the approval. Please recommend OTP.
