Cyanobacteria is a significant scourge on our lakes and ponds. As the president of Perkins Pond Protective Association, I fully support the funding of the Cyanobacteria Mitigation Loan and Grant Fund, specifically to obtain a permit for all seasonal platforms, including inflatables on public waters. Anchoring these 'swim-to's' stirs up muck which usually holds a significant amount of phosphorous, and feeds cyanobacteria, encouraging the bloom. Having a fund to combat that bloom becomes increasingly important as NH lakes are experiencing significantly more blooms than ever before.
