Greetings, members of the committee: I strongly support both HB 1431 and HB 1086, which would impose restrictions on the use of neonicotinoid pesticieds and on the sale of certain grains treated with neonicotinoicds. As a backyard beekeeper, I understand these pesticides are an existential threat to all the pollinators we rely upon for our food crops and other plants. As someone who spent much of his life outdoors, I understand neonicotinoids can contaminate the natural world we depend upon. And as a grandparent, I don't want these poisons to continue infiltrating both our food and water supplies. Please support these bills in committee and vote for their passage on the floor, and let the governor know you want them signed into law. Sincerely, Eric
