As a resident of Lake Kanasatka, I have seen first hand what happens to our lake and resources both financial and recreational should there be an outbreak of Cyanobacteria. Lake Kanasatka Watershed Association has worked diligently for years combating this problem. Financial resources are a must in combination with man power, environmental education and conscientious boast owners. Boats are a luxury but huge contributors to pollution, wildlife and our shore lines. Raising the mooring fee by $25 is a help in combating the Cyanobacteria of which boaters are a huge contributor.
