To the Committee My family and friends access the short term rentals in our state of NH throughout the year. We not only find the properties are well presented and meet our needs but we also feel we are helping to support our fellow NH citizens. My husband and I were small business owners, not retired. As a small business owner the profit margin is not always large or substantial. By adding more fees onto these owners will further cut into their already small profit margin. I have always believed NH was a state for the independent, hard working american citizen who is supporting themselves and their community. I hope these and other bills relating to taxing STR owners do not move forward. This business allows folks to bring in some extra money for themselves and their community they do not need to pay more fees to the town or state government.
