The amount of time the average child spends outside is staggeringly low, with a lot of children only getting 7 minutes of unstructured outdoor time! Compared to an average of 7 hours of screen time…that’s appalling! Let’s ensure that the children in NH schools get guaranteed outdoor time! This can I my improve outcomes as a regulated child learns best and being outdoors is a major system regulator! As a constituent with a child entering kindergarten in 2028 I whole heartedly support this bill and would hope to add even more time for outdoor learning and unstructured time in nature to the curriculum in the future!
