I strongly oppose proposed bill HB1068. I am concerned with the negative impacts this will have on property owners and the local economy. If this bill is voted in, it will be more expensive for families to maintain their second home, which are often rented out to offset the already high costs. Second homes in NH are already paying existing meals and room taxes. Many individuals and families rely on short term rental income and this bill will create a greater financial burden and more financial strain on owners.
