I find this bill to be extremely alarming. It feels as though we have stronger regulations, competency assessment standards and safety assessments surrounding the driving of motor vehicles than we do surrounding firearms. As a healthcare provider I am consistently comparing the potential risk/benefit of decisions. In this scenario, the potential risk of implementing this law (loss of life, which does not exclude children) far outweighs potential benefit. In our current climate, the potential risk also feels far more likely to come to fruition than it has in the past. Please help us protect our children.
