Cyanobacteria is increasingly becoming a problem in NH water bodies. Visitors coming to NH to enjoy our scenic beauty will go elsewhere if we do not protect our water quality. This will result in a loss of income for NH businesses that serve tourists and a loss of toll revenue that supports NH highways, among many other financial losses. It is our responsibility to do all we reasonably can to protect NH's natural environment for all who inhabit or visit our beautiful state. The allocation of funds from increasing the mooring fees will put a small portion of the cost of cyanobacteria mitigation upon a group that clearly benefits greatly from having cyanobacteria free waters. A group that also can easily afford this small dollar amount of increase in their fee for mooring.
