Linda Skidmore

Hello, My family owns Gossler Camps on Tucker Pond in Warner NH. We have owned these cottages since 1941. Gossler Camps has been our family business for 80 years. Tucker Pond has always been a Class A pond with pristine and very clear water. I grew up on Tucker Pond and played and swam there all summer every year for over half a century. These past few years have saddened me greatly. Due to construction and climate change the pond now has nasty yellowish scum/ cyanobacteria every summer. My immediate family won’t swim in the pond due to worry about getting sick, or even getting the bacteria on their body. Our family is losing business over the cyanobacteria and it is ruining the tourism industry in the state of New Hampshire which has always been so beautiful. I have lived in other states such as Florida and Texas, among others, and have always praised and promoted how wonderful and beautiful NH is, and that they should come visit. I moved back to NH 14 years ago because this is my home. I desperately missed the trees, mountains, lakes, and four seasons. I love New Hampshire. PLEASE support this bill; cyanobacteria on Tucker Pond and all ponds in NH. Tucker Pond and all the other lakes plagued with cyanobacteria and other pollution need your help!!!!! Thank you for your time. I will be looking for and following this effort to fight cyanobacteria on NH lakes. Linda Skidmore Tucker Pond Gossler Camps Warner NH
