Limiting the use of neonicotinoid pesticides to trained applicators is one more step to protect soil, groundwater, runoff water, disruption of aquatic food webs by harming insects and zooplankton, and creation of conditions that favor algal and harmful cyanobacteria blooms. Protection of all of these elements contributes to a safe environment for NH communities. Your role as representatives is to protect the safety of NH residents and visitors. Some studies indicate potential links between neonicotinoid exposure and health issues, including: • Neurological effects • Developmental impacts in children • Possible associations with certain cancers
