This bill targets a problem that doesn’t even really exist in New Hampshire and seems more like a response to national culture wars than a real local issue. It could open the door for lawsuits against schools that allow transgender students to participate in sports, which would disrupt athletic programs and pull resources away from education toward legal battles. It also risks making schools more divided and less supportive. This could even lead to invasive checks on students who don’t look or act the way others expect them to.
